The Southside Civic Association exists to preserve and promote the character and quality of life of the Southside area, one of the most beautiful and desirable areas in our city. Mark your calendars! The 38th Annual Southdowns Parade rolls Friday, February 28, 2025, at 7 PM, rain or shine, through the Southdowns neighborhood. This family-friendly event is one of the most colorful and beloved traditions of our neighborhood!

The Krewe of Southdowns is a 100% non-profit organization, powered by community support. By donating $40 or more, you’ll become a Friend of the Flambeaux and receive a yard sign featuring this year’s "Safari" theme - plus, it might just earn you some extra throws!​

Ride in the Parade!
Want a front-row seat to the fun? Pay-to-ride float spots are available! For $150 per person, you can ride a professionally built float - complete with a bathroom on board! Bring your own throws, drinks, and snacks, and enjoy an unforgettable Mardi Gras experience.​ Open to all ages!
